A canvas painting is often used for works of art and paintings, and they differ from ordinary picture frames because they don't have a visible frame. The canvas is built with a wooden frame inside and a canvas cloth stretched around. Depending on which canvas it is, the canvas is suitable for slightly different types of colors, you can find for instance canvas frames with cotton cloths that are particularly suitable for oil, acrylic and vinyl paints.

In our free picture frame tool, we offer the opportunity to add both blank canvas paintings and canvas paintings with prints. To do this, add a new frame and look for the frame type that has a white background and a "C" in the image (C as in Canvas). You can either use one of our prepared picture sizes, or you can enter your own measurements under the tab "Custom size". If you then press the add picture button, you can upload a picture of your own acrylic painting or a work of art you want to display. Then you can see what the artwork looks like on the wall at home.

If you buy a canvas, there is a standard in the sizes of the canvases. For example, there is the F-series of sizes, which stands for (F)igure and is common for paintings in still lifes and portraits. If you want to add a canvas of such a standardized size you can look for a size guide, and for instance find the measurements for an F4 (33x24cm) and an F20 (73x60cm). You can then then add that specific size under "Custom size".
