Picture frame in light wood
A light wooden frame, perhaps in birch or another lighter type of wood, could be a nice compromise between a white painted wooden frame and an untreated oak frame. It can for instance be used when you want a lighter interior, perhaps with Scandinavian or rural interior styles, but when you still want to introduce wood that is more visible than white painted wood.
Gallery wall with picture frames in light wood in sizes 13x18, 21x30, 30x40, 40x50, 50x50, 50x70, 70x100 and 100x150
The light wooden frame is perfect if you want more wood in the interior but still want lighter tones in the color scale. A light wooden frame fits nicely on a white wall and disappears a bit when you look at a gallery wall, which can give more focus to the pictures inside the frames. If you also have other elements of light wood in the interior the frames will complement really well.

Many interior styles that traditionally use bright colors, such as classic, Scandinavian, rustic or marine styles, often also fit well with lighter picture frames. This is because the frames themselves often blend in with other furniture and create discreet color themes in the room. If you then want to introduce one or two colors to these calmer colors, you can do this with for instance a pair of sofa cushions and prints with an accentuated color. For instance if you pair a couple of red pillows with prints with red color themes. Then the light wooden frames will be discrete and give focus to the more colorful elements in the interior.
We have gathered lots of inspiration and pictures below of what it could look like to use light wooden frames in the interior at home. If you see something you like, you can press "Show in the tool" to start moving around the frames and change prints.
