Frame selection
When you choose the type of frame there are several ways you can go about it. One strategy may be to try to choose more discreet frames and let other furniture in the room, or the pictures themselves, set more of a tone in the room. Black, white and light wooden frames are examples of discrete frames because their color is grayscale and therefore does not add another color to the room. You can also choose to match the frames with other furniture, for example if you have many black straight lines in the interior you can match it with black frames, or if you have furniture in a certain type of wood you can have the same wood in the frames on the wall. A final method is to try to stick to a certain interior style in the room and look up what interior styles match with what type of frames. For example, silver and gold frames fit very well into a glamorous interior design style.

Choosing prints
When it's time to choose prints we have a few methods to suggest as well. It is often nice to match the colors in prints with each other, and also with other furniture and decor in the room. For example, you could find several prints that all have the same pink color, which means that they match with each other, and if you add for example pink sofa cushions or a pink blanket the whole room will have the same clear color theme. If you already have a clear color in the room, you can also choose to introduce a complementary color with the prints - perhaps an olive green color that complements pink well. When it comes to the content of the prints you can also choose a clear theme, like having several space-themed prints. If you combine your prints that have a clear content and / or color theme with more neutral prints, for example black and white prints, the theme will be very clear without being too much.

Passepartout or white margin
You often want white space in a picture frame so that the pictures do not become too eclectic when you look at the gallery wall, and especially when you have several picture frames and several prints. Then it may be relevant to choose a white margin around the print or to add a passepartout. The difference between the two is that a white margin is added to the printout, so that the picture is printed in a smaller size with white all around. A passepartout, on the other hand, is a piece of cardboard that you put on top afterwards so that a piece of the picture becomes hidden.
